Can you believe that in a week it's already December? I'm sooo eager to start decorating the house. I also want to prepare some cards from my shots to send them to some friends of mine :aww:  The entire city will be lit up and decorate, there'll be caroling in every store  I just melt away even when I think about it :xmas:

** Andrei has left this world this afternoon :(  I really wanted him to get better and had so many hopes. Unfortunately life had other plans for him. Thank you very much to all of you who kept him in your prayers and who helped any way you could. I appreciated it and he did too. Thank you very much.

May his soul rest in peace

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've never done this before. But I've seen it happen happen here a lot of times and I've helped others as I could. Even if it was only by spreading the word.

Now I'll you to do this for me too. I need you to at least spread the word of the story I'm about to tell you.
I come from a small town in Romania, it has only about 6.000 people or so. Maybe less. I've grown up there and even if I wasn't the type to have a lot of friends around me, it wasn't hard to know the most of the kids my age since the town is quite small. Mostly, nothing happens there, it's very quiet. But when something out of the ordinary happens, everyone hears about it, talks about it. Unfortunately, sometimes they talk more than they should, but that's not the point.

The point is that a boy (Andrei) of my age (23) has been recently diagnosed with leukemia and it's pretty bad. Actually, it's bad. He's in the hospital now, receiving some type of treatment, hopefully he'll respond so that later on the doctors might operate on him and fix everything that needs to get fixed. I don't know him very well, I'm not part of his closest friends, but I don't it even matters in this kind of situations. What matters is that he needs help. A lot of help. He needs support, positive thoughts to keep him going, and he needs a lot of money in order to pay for his medicine, the hospital bills and all the treatment. Everything costs around 100.000 Euro. That's a lot of money for everyone. I can't even start to imagine how much that is and what could one buy with all that money. I can only imagine that that amount of money could save his life and give him a second change. Even if everyone from my town would donate 1 or 2 euros it still wouldn't be enough. That's where you come in. You, with the big and generous hearts who are out there and have the possibility to help others. It doesn't matter the amount, what matters is that you helped as you could, what matters is that at least you tried.

What amazed me is the support of his friends. They have done so much in the couple of weeks since he's in the hospital. Andrei's mother was most of the time with him in the hospital, his father had to take care of all the paperwork and other things and his friends have organized all sort of events, have spread the words as they could to help raise the money that their friend needs so much now. By now they only have a couple of thousand euros and everyday he spends a certain amount on medicine and everything else he needs in the hospital.  His life actually depends on that money. Having such great friends gives you strength to fight, but without the treatment, well…I don't want to think about that.

They have opened two bank accounts at Raiffeisen Bank:
RO55RZBR0000060015060981 – account in Lei (for those who want to donate and are from Romania)
RO27RZBR0000060015061000 – account in Euro.

As I told you before, every act of your kindness helps. Spread the word, mention him in your prayer, donate if you have the possibility and you'll be thanked. If not by him and his family, life will thank you in some way for your generous act. His life depends in you, it's in your hands to reach out to him and help!

We're here to help each other in times of trouble, we're here to make the life's of others a little easier to bare, we're here to bring a smile on the faces of those who have forgotten how to smile, we're here to make the burden of others a little easier, we're here to share the joys and sorrows, we're here for each other. I believe in the power of humanity when they all fight for the same purpose. I believe that magic can happen if we all help in making it happen. Let's help Andrei believe in magic, too.

Dear September..

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 3, 2012, 2:42 AM
My Blog | Gallery | Photography |My facebook page

September is the first month of Autumn. Days are already gotten shorter and in the morning when I go to work it's quite cold outside even though at noon it becomes very warm. We can almost say that summer's gone. Now we think of all the great stuff we've done during summertime: holidays, tanning, swimming, hiking and a lot of photographs. Now it's time to go back to work, kids start school in a couple of days and nature transforms itself in a beautiful pallet of golden, rusty and red tones. (can't wait :eager:)

As of me, I attented the first wedding as a photographer a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't so bad :D I really hope it won't be the last time. I also had a couple of private photoshootings with some friends of mine and they also went pretty well. You can always check my facebook page to see what I've been up to lately ;) [link]

Hope your summer was as good as mine :sun: for now it's time to say goodbye to good old Summer and welcome our dear Fall :aww:

Suddenly summer moved on.

Journal Entry: Sun Aug 12, 2012, 4:37 AM
My Blog | Gallery | Photography |My facebook page

I've neglected very much my account here lately. But it's been a very busy period for me. Besides work and my 365 days of photography project, my boyfriend came home for 3 weeks 'cause he's currently working in Belgium. So I also had one week off from work to spend it with him. So I really didn't had time to log in regularly here. I apologize to all of you for being so behind with everything but I had much more important things to do :aww:
Last night I've attended for the first time a wedding as a photographer. It was quite interesting and hopefully it will not be the last one :D
In a month from now summer will be almost gone, hopefully I'll start having more time to spend it here than I did lately. I really miss those times when I used to write journals every week and make a lot of features.

Enough with the chatting around.. :giggle: enjoy the features :aww:

First of all, Happy 4th of July to all americans here :aww:  I also have a day off from work today :D so that's cool!

How is your summer until now? :sun: It's been a hell of a June here in Romania. Everyday high temperatures, 37-39 degrees celsius in the shadow, who knows how much in the sun...
I'd sleep at my workplace, that's how terrified I am when I have to leave home at 5 pm

Ohh...I've cut my hair again :giggle: like quiet short :D I'll update my ID and you'll be able to see it ;)
What are your plans for this summer? Any holiday plans?
I have none. I don't think I'll afford to go somewhere far since I bought a new camera month ago :giggle: but I'm not sorry. I'll do my best to take many good shots and keep going with my 365 days of photography project :)

Little PrinceWait for a time, exactly under the star. Then, if a little man appears who laughs, who has golden hair and who refuses to answer questions, you will know who he is. If this should happen, please comfort me. Send me word that he has come back.
I met a boy. He wanted a sheep.
He gave me the gift of laughing stars.
I promised him I will not weep:
that secret will stay forever ours...
I met a boy. He owned a rose.
She's on his planet - very far.
I watch it every night - he knows...
And so, if you by chance are close
to the place where his footprints are -
Wait for a time, exactly under the star.
Then, if a little man appears who laughs,
who has golden hair
and who refuses to answer questions,
you will know who he is.
Then he will teach you how to see -
with your heart and not with you eyes,
how moody some flowers can be,
and how you should establish ties.
So prepare to be a little tamed,
just like it happened once to me.
And if you cry - he can't be blamed:
that's what comes

Acid. It warms my tongue and incinerates all rational thought. I find myself gazing at the ceiling, transfixed by the colors dancing across my eyes. Plumes of purple smoke swirl and mix with streams of green and yellow. Time ceases to exist; one moment blends into the other in an incoherent mess. And then I'm melting - I can see my own veins seep through my skin and I feel myself sinking. Panic and fear begins to take control, but then I realize something. Isn't this what I wanted all along? To disappear and cease to exist? Of course, the feeling of d

Summer with Canon

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 3, 2012, 3:30 AM
My Blog | Gallery | Photography |My facebook page

It's been over a month since I haven't posted a journal here. I don't think I've been away for so long until now.  If we could only sleep less or spend less time on our way to work and back, we'd have more free time. I've almost reached day 100 with my 365 days of photography project which is great :D yay! :woohoo: you can follow me on my facebook fan page, I upload my photos there everyday ;) ([link]
The big news is that I finally have a DSLR camera  it's a 1100D from Canon  I've been waiting for this day for a long time, you can't imagine how excited I was when I got the package, I'm still excited...but now I have to spend a lot of time with my new toy 'cause the Fujifilm I used to have works a little different.
But I'm happy. That I can say. This was one of my wishes for this year: to get a camera, a canon camera

Last week was my birthday :cake: wish I could share with all of you a piece of cake  Thanks all of you who've wished me Happy Birthday and a special thanks to those who've dedicated me their artworks. Take a look at these wonderful gifts I've received :aww:

They've brought a big smile on my face :D thank you :huggle:

I'm still more caught up with real life than dA :giggle: I've been a little behind with posting my usual news article for some groups, I apologize for that. I would have done it in time if real life wouldn't take so much time, but living out there in the real world isn't that bad either :)
My 365 days photography project keeps me busy too, at least I don't really get the chance to just take good photographs, I'm always hunting something new to photograph and to post it. It's not easy and I still have a long way until I finish it, but I really really want to pull this through :D
I'm definetly a Spring person. It becomes more and more clear that Spring is my favourite season. It gives me more energy, I feel better, a little happier. Nature can put a smile on someone's face :) The beauties and the surprises nature gives have no price.

Why Free Market Capitalism FailsIn this essay, I expose the flaws in the two mechanisms that are supposed to power the free market: Adam Smith's invisible hand and trickle down economics.  The notion of the invisible hand holds that in a free marketplace, the buyer's self-interest will tend to drive the price down, while the seller's self-interest will tend to drive the price up, so that both parties' self-interest will naturally cause the price to settle on an amount that both find reasonable.  Trickle-down economics maintains that the rich are the ones who start and expand businesses and hire employees, so the laws should favor them increasing their we Linked to

Reality however has an evil sense of humour.

The journey had started off well enough with another amiable gentleman who shared the four berth compartment with me.

Render your flame files as if they were a set of keyframes (like with Apophymator) - even with different amounts of transforms per flame
Make use of automatic plugin downloading (and the massive heap of new built-in variations)
Experience faster rendering through optimization of the rendering core
This build features a set of variations which were built-in from existing plugins (to reduce the need of .DLL plugins):
- log (derived from *zy0rg's logn plugin; includes the "base" variable)
- polar2
- cross
- wedge
- epispiral (derived from *cyberxaos' Epispiral plugin; corrected name to be all-lowercase as defined by the naming convention)
- bwraps (derived from bwraps2; removed the "2" in the name)

Doesn't it sometimes happen to you that you start making a new journal entry and you don't know what to write?..you put the features and all the contest winners, but you can't find your words.
I'm having one of those moments :giggle:

Change of subject. Have you heard about the Kony 2012 campaign? Actually it's a campaign by The Invisible Children against Kony, Aiming To Bring Joseph Kony To Justice.
Joseph Kony is the world's worst war criminal. The LRA is no longer active in northern Uganda (where it originated) but it continues its campaign of violence in democratic republic of Congo, Central African Republic and South Sudan. In Its 26-year history, the LRA has abducted more than 30,000 children and displaced at least 2.1 million people.
There's a lot more information here: [link] and a great video where you can find out more.

On Saturday, 31 March it's Earth Hour. How do you celebrate it? Do you usually turn your lights off? They have also made a great video to promote this great movement that has grown more with every year. [link]

I'll definetly participate as I find this action very inspiring! :earth:

I'd like to know how are you all doing? But I'm not asking just to be polite, I'd really like to know. Is there anything important going on in your lives?
Unfortunately I seem to have less and less time to spend here. I'm very behind with reading your journals and blogs. I managed to go through some deviations today and I might have to leave some groups, they are too many and my deviations stack is always full. Real life takes up most of my time and sometimes I come home from work and I just want to do nothing. strange feeling, ha?

As I've said in my last journal entry I've started a 365 days photography project on my facebook page ([link] and it's going very well, I'm quite pleased with what I've done so far. I thought of uploading the photos here too, but I don't know, I'm not sure what I'll do..

I've won 1st place in a winter contest with this photograph:

Party of a lifetimeJam packed, bodies everywhere as the music pumped so loud the whole room shook and it was amazing that the speakers at the edges of the stage didn't fall off or even explode with the sheer amount of noise that was coming out of them. Other trolls kept their distance from it, smartly thinking they would go deaf if they stood too close for too long.

On the dance floor everyone merges together, but after a time the figures become apparent individuals doing distinct actions that define their personalities. I know a few of these trolls, and I am not surprised at all to see some of the things going on. In one corner I see two trolls dancing and tr

I've started s 365 days of Photography Project on my Facebook page. I'll take every day a photograph, write a quote on it and post it on facebook. Of course you may follow me there ;) I even ask you to if you have an account -> [link]

I'm a little behind on your journal entries, I've having a quite bad cold the last week. I was coughing so bad that the doctor gave me antibiotics :( I'm doing better now and hopefully this week I'll manage to go through my messages here.

I've posted a photograph with a bonsai in my scrapbook asking for some advice. Well it seems he's doing just fine :aww: I think I'll have to shear it a little. :giggle:

..and Spring is just around the corner :w00t: :sun:
